So you want to break free from working for a boss? Instead of the 9 to 5 daily drag, you want to work for yourself? How do you do it? Where do you start?
Keep reading and I’ll tell you my tips for breaking free of the 9 to 5.
Find your Dream Work
One of the best ways to make a new business flourish is to love what you are doing. What is it that you love doing? Maybe you are an organizer by nature. Possibly you are a people person. Do you feel a strong desire to help others live a more natural life? It is possible to make money doing something you truly love.
Begin Saving for your New Business
Take some time, before quitting your 9 to 5 job, to set up a nest egg. You will want some savings in your bank account as you get ready to begin working from home. This will take the pressure off of you at the beginning. Find creative ways to save money and reduce expenditures. Set a date of when you want to break free and work on savings and reducing expenditures as you approach that date.
Take classes or Grow your knowledge
You will want to make sure that you are the best there is at your new chosen profession. You may want to consider taking some courses either online or at a local college to hone your skills.
Its not impossible to succeed
This will not only help you become more professional, it will also show your seriousness to potential clients (and more importantly to yourself).
Write out a Business Plan
Clearly spell out where you want to be in a week, a month, six months, a year. Create a plan to get to these milestones. Write out how much you will need to be bringing in before you can quit your regular job. Be detailed and come up with your business goals. Once you have written it all down, it is time to take the plunge. Begin your business, and go at it with all you have.
Work Hard and Don’t Give Up
Just like every business, there will be good and bad times. Whatever you do, don’t give up. Keep your eyes on the goal. Advertise, give deals, and find ways to raise your client base. Eventually, with hard work, you will be able to break away from your 9 to 5 job.
This is no where near a comprehensive list, so please provide some of your tips on breaking free of the 9 to 5 and help others by leaving a comment below.
Have a wonderful day

Great advice Cemil – I think many people would love to break from the 9 – 5 but either don’t know how or are too afraid to step out of their comfort zones. Choosing something you love to do is the main factor which has created some of the world’s best known entrepreneurs.
Great tips on someone who has actually taken the leap, to break free. Well done, Cemil
