Everyday greatness emanates from the power of positive thinking; but it takes more than just telling yourself you’re talented and you can move the world. You have to believe it – even
when it’s factual – you must believe it to fully realize success.
As powerful as words can be you still must make it through the haze of negativity and shift your attitude into actions. The power of positive thinking has more to do with self coaching yourself to success.
You will not succeed unless you consistently believe you can accomplish the task and apply that attitude towards getting it done. We want to attract success not repel it, right?
If you keep telling yourself you can’t run a marathon then you’ve already defeated yourself. Your subconscious hears it, records it, and believes it and day after day all you remember is that you “cannot run a marathon”. Never mind that you never tried to run a marathon.
“I have the power to change myself”
Here is the crux of the power of positive thinking; you are your most important person. You have the power to direct your thoughts, control your emotions and command your destiny. Your success, happiness and wealth all depend on how you make up your mind. Take a moment and think about yourself; if you are not a success it is because you are holding yourself back.
We do that a lot – hold ourselves back; the most misaligned thoughts are when you desire something but doubt you can get it. Isn’t that frustrating? Wanting something but because of misgivings about yourself and hesitation to act on your wants, you decide you’re unable to attain it.
We all have the ability to focus our thoughts positively about anything and make it happen. There is nothing you cannot be or accomplish once you align your thoughts to simply do it.
How to start the Power of Positive Thinking
So where do you start the mental transformation?
The power of positive thinking is part conscious and part sub-conscious. Start with eliminating any negative affirmations that cloud your thinking and replace them with positive reinforcements.
- Get rid of the “I can’t”
- Stop using “but”
You don’t need to become your own psychologist and reflect on where you went wrong; you need to become your own motivational power coach and instill a can-do attitude.
You see, your inside coach will light a fire and grasp that can-do philosophy that reverses the negatives. Your coach will supply you with inspirational pep talks that generate a desire to get going and get results.
Use affirmations that inspire a purpose
- “I act with confidence and I have my plan”
- “I choose to replace all my negative thoughts with positive thoughts”
- “I have the power to change myself”
You must establish a lifetime plan of where you want to go. Then, make those decisions that advance you toward your goals. The power of positive thinking catapults you into exploration of your destiny.
